One reason for this is because the imaging process is, in essence, a way of cloning a hard drive or a partition. With acronis, afeter 2 hours it works perfect.More recently, a 40 GBS laptop disk with XP: WIth clonezilla: after 13 hours!!!

Imagine someone with less experience who was restoring a disk image for the very first time being expected to know how to put it right! You may boot from a rescue disc if things go wrong to correct issues found.I'd create a backup of the original drive as well just to be on the safe side.You So, imaging, not cloning, would allow me to restore everything to my computer or to a new one if I had to buy one?
