To perform a SFC (System File Checker) scan which will check and fix any corrupted files on your system do the following: Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start I haven't been able run Malwarebytes or any other windows diagnostics software because Explorer keeps crashing every 10 minutes. So I just copied the desktop folder to an external hard drive and deleted the folder and hey presto it worked again.
