The reasoning here is pretty clearÂ in thatÂ Microsoft simply wants you on board, using the STORE, synching with SkyÂ One Drive and any other PC you may have the OS installed on. That's really confusing. But if Microsoft thinks it can charge their >$100 asking price and flood it with ads (like they did with Win8), they're out of their minds.
Windows 8, especially on a tablet, is perfectly fine for people who use their computers for only a few functions. Nothing is intuitive, but if you fuck around with it long enough, you can find settings that will work for you. If I'm coding away in Visual Studio and receive an email, I'll turn my head to the second monitor, bring the mail app to the foreground and off I go. You don't even know me.
