What Is PfModNT & Slow Bootup "Verifying DMI Data Pool"?

When I switch the machine on, it does its normal stuff until it gets to a point where it says VERIFYING DMI POOL DATA Usually it skips right past this after my puter just froze there and refused to load windows. I'm not sure if making your SATA settings Native IDE causes any issue with hot swapping. It is selected if you ever change the settings in the BIOS to, "Load Optimal" settings or whatever the most stable settings are for that BIOS it selects that. Check This Out

It POST just fine with the one beep which tells me the POST was ok but just freezes at the "verifying DMI pool data". I recently built my own PC. A:emachine, vista. a floppy disk to fix it but I dont have a floppy disk drive in my PC Its a pretty new build with the following parts MOBO x Gigabyte GA-EP -DQ http://www.techist.com/forums/f78/what-pfmodnt-slow-bootup-verifying-dmi-data-pool-9974/

I went to a friends house to make a startup disk from his 98, and that freezes on "verifying DMI pool data" it doesnt get to the disk error, but still I am assuming that this is not normal. Could this also be an IRQ conflicts. So something happened in the middle of the night... ?

My PC recently booted up with the error message "CMOS Checksum Error - Defaults Loaded". But when I go to boot it (by changing First Boot Device in BIOS to Removable), it just gets stuck at "Verifying DMI Pool Data...".
