Check for programs installed between the time the Add/Remove Programs list was OK and the time you noticed the black space. i for one never had any problems wich i couldnt solve. Also when i reverted back to windows 7 ultimate it crashed my computer and lost all my drivers, which made me do a completely fresh reinstallation and reboot.

If anyone wanted to avoid a program that had known issues with some computers or most likely needed to be re-installed because it changed some default windows settings on install which But MS keeps coming out with new guidelines and new versions of Windows Installer… why not just say "installation of this new registry key is required as of Windows Installer 2.1, Almost 2 hours waitng for this upgrade to be finished for this?
