Weird Problem - Can Only Install Certain Types Of .exe's

If the rest of your system runs OK, I'd get rid of the offending message, as that kind of thing is highly indicative of a virus trying to infect the system The Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\ Adobe (in my case) Find the exe. As it is, you're only spamming lots of users who had trouble with host-only adapter creation but don't have problems now. Most can handle LZMA2 7z files with ease. #15 < > Showing 1-15 of 32 comments Per page: 15 30 50 Fallout: New Vegas > General Discussions > Topic Details Date http://internetpasswordpro.com/weird-problem/weird-problem-lexmark-printer-keeps-trying-to-install.html

In fact, what encouraged me to upgrade to windows 10 was the  the press release paragraph(4th) stating that windows 10 is supported both as host and guest by virtualbox 5. After a restore of the installer folder the and a restart of explorer.exe (terminated ad re-executed from task manager), every icon was back in place. Users started upgrading before developers had a chance to do anything. XP.

To fix this issue, you will have to change the default associations for all files with the extension .exe. I'm sure it has useful tricks for anyone interested in learning about windows development. Check This Out Now nvse runs fine and- i believe- could install more mods. Put the CD in the computer you are using to connect to the Internet (hopefully it has Win 98 or higher installed), Double click the cab file and copy rundll32.exe to Rebooting the machine does not solve the problem if it exists before the restart. I can also confirm that the adapters are getting created and appear in Device Manager. Peace! Whenever i run 'nvse_loader', I recieve an error message saying the program is not compatible with my windows version(sry for inaccurate translation it was Korean).

While someone is working on it can you maybe tell us if there is a quick workaround to create host-only interfaces in VB?

Thank you! Everything through the yesterday Windows 10 update fom 8.1. I decided to share my fix with everyone so I'll try to explain it here. Any other workaround would be appreciated !

Thanks a lot. As you did, I deleted "install" folders (in order to save some HDD space too) and was screwed in a row 'cause alas ain't got no sibling computer... Everyone experience problems with this, especially in combination with Vagrant. all Office and Adobe icons disapeared. After that, just about all my desktop icons are Adobe icons, and when I click on them, the pop up menus says I can't access the file. Thanks!

I found that this occured with such things as my steam.exe, and my lunascape.exe, etc... If you now open a "risky" filetype like .mdb or .exe on a shared network drive on this server you won't get this security warning anymore. On the contrary accept my apologies. After I upgraded the program (I think) the icon broke. Very annoying that 3rd party applications modifies those registry settings for the Windows Explorer. Iudith Reply Steve says: 15 January 2010 at 1:29 Thank you!!! any suggestions????

Since this technique can also be used by viruses, some badly-written virus scanners assume that any program doing it is a virus.
